Like tomorrow Tuesday? If so, just wait it out. The baby will definitely make a move when he/she is ready to join the world. I would skip the wives tales advice.

Mostly, wait it out. Remember that due dates are just an estimated guess, and that on average, first-time Moms go into spontaneous labor at 41 weeks plus 1 day, which is 8 days past your due date.

Be patient! Remember, your best hope for a vaginal (rather than a surgical delivery) are to go into spontaneous (not drug-induced labor).

Things that can help are

1) you having an orgasm which can help trigger contractions if your body/baby are ready

2) sex with your partner, because sperm contains natural prostaglandins which can help thin the cervix and help to start to efface it, if your baby/body are ready

3) Walking

4) castor oil -- which can cause abdominal cramping and diahhrea which can help stimulate contractions/labor. Don't take more than 2 TBSP. this will probably only help if your body is ready to go into labor anyway.

5) eat lots of fresh pineapple

6) get a massage of pressure points in your leg/.ankles from a certiied massage therapist practiced in working with pregnant women.

Labor starts when it's ready to. Lots of folks have 'old wives tales' about starting labor, but walking is really the only one that has been shown to start labor quicker than anything else short of medical treatment. There were 3 women on my former board who reported a pepperoni pizza did it for them.

While castor oil has been reported to help, a number of women have reported having diarrhea from it. Combining that with labor just doesn't appeal, ya know?

walking helps alot! It put me right into labor. But let your body take its time, it knows when it's ready. Your doctor will give you recomendations on things to try if they want to bring it on. There is nothing wrong with being a little over due. I know it's rough towards the end and you probably just want ti all over. So, good luck with your little bundle of joy! Congrats, I'm happy for you!

Im not sure if this will help you but it did help me... I walked for about 45 minutes every day or until I felt it was time to sit down & my son was born the day he was due , BUT..... my last son was late & I had to be induced & I walked & did all kinds of stuff but DO NOT !!!!!!! drink a laxative to start labor it will only give you time on the potty & a tummy ache believe me when your baby is ready he/she will let you know & if you dont go into labor on your own your ob/gyn will let you know what to do...

I dont imagine so. that's only your body making waiting for exertions and it is also drained of being pregnant. My decrease back damage for the period of my entire 2d being pregnant, from initiate to end practically. My braxtons hicks were given worse and worse till some days I couldnt tell them except for the actual aspect. You pelvic floor will change into very sore and also you would sense the pinching of your cervix in case you bend down for stuff and get up, or at the same time as your sitting down and get up unexpectedly. You dont have a lot longer to pass. good success!

Your due tuesday why not just wait???
Their are some things that you can try but it's not always good to do..
When my sister was pregnant she was overdue so she tried multiple things such as:
1. have sex.
2. go walking for a couple hours.
3. drink castrol oil.
4. eat alot of pine apple..

The one that did it for her was the sex, she had sex with her husband and she went into labor later that night

One thing i did with my first child is, eat pickled pig's feet. It's an old wives tale that vinegar makes you go into labor. Or you could try exercises like, walking up and down the street, or have an orgasm. But the first suggestion is something i did and it worked immediately. i had my baby several hours later!

sex, walking...there are a lot of things they say start labor but honestly i don't know how far i would trust them. i tried them all with both of my pregnancies and none of them worked. i had to be induced with all of them. however they do work for a lot of people.
i am so happy that you will get to see your baby soon!! good luck til tuesday!!! hang in there. i remember trying all that stuff and getting so frustrated. my husband was happy though he was getting to have sex a lot. haha!!

you dont need signs of labor. just wait.

your due date is an approximation of +/- 1 week.

You can wake up tomorrow and start contractions, or start on wed, or anytiem now.

Patience is virtue, you waited 9 months, whats another few days?
