I got scammed on Paypal a few years back and its apparantly my fault, They asked me to fax everything in under the sun which I did, they then said we wish to part company and I'm not to use paypal again. Anyway anytime I open an account its limtied soon after dispite changing bank accounts, IP addresses etc.

Anyway when I sell on ebay my items either do not sell or go for peanuts, I'm offering Nochex,Postal Order,Cheque,Bank Tranfer even cash on collection but it doesn;t matter.

Is it possible to sell on ebay without accepting paypal?

Hi – I am an established seller on eBay. eBay has been my full time job for 4 years, and I have sold over 12,000 items.

Over 80% of eBay users use Paypal. If you don't offer it, you are missing a huge part of the market. Most people find it convenient and easy to use. Remember, just because you had a bad experience with it does not mean that everyone else has.

I only accept Paypal - no checks, money orders, etc. When signing up for Paypal, you have to go thru an approval process, so that weeds out alot of undesirables.

Maybe you should give Paypal another trial run for 30 days or so and see if your sales pick up. You are cutting off your nose here just to spite your face!

Please email me directly and I can share more information with you.

Regards-

Of course its possible to sell on ebay without paypal as you've already described the several methods. The problem however is people prefer paypal as its easier and safer. If your selling similar products then the competition is outwayed by others having paypal and disadvantaging you. To get around the IP problem you would need to use a friends computer, or internet cafe, possibly change your ISP, I don't know whether this changes your IP address. Set up under different names etc, quite a difficult problem.

I don't know the extent of why you are banned, if its that serious to ban you it sounds like you were actually scamming people so its probably for the best. If you weren't then you should have sufficent evidense to back up your argument and then contact paypal directly to overcome your problem!

Hi,

It is possible and you are offering all the ways of paying without PayPal, but unfortunately, people are less likely to buy because they will get the item quicker with PayPal :-S

It's unusual for PayPal to 'part company' with a buyer because they have gotten scammed. Scamming is never your fault! If you can call a PayPal advisor or email them, this might be the best way to go.

Yes that's not a problem, You have to be very carefull of scams on pay pal and eBay, messages come to your email looking just like the real thing and you have to sign in to answer them, dont do this, go to your home page in eBay and see if you have any new messages there. If the same message is there then its the real thing, but if its not then its almost certainly some one trying to get your details. Only answer from your messages in eBay.

Hi!

Yes it is possible to sell on ebay without accepting paypal.

Just make it expressly clear in your auction narrative.

Whenever I'm selling something of small value, say under £5 I always put the following phrase as the first line of my narrative:

PLEASE NOTE THAT PAYPAL IS NOT ACCEPTED IN THIS AUCTION.

Remember, it's YOUR auction and you can call the shots.

Best of luck!!

It is possible but most buyers (about 80%) only use paypal. The problem is that your name is on their list of financial sanctions so you can't open an account. You should open an account in someone else's name to receive payments.
