I like this boy-im not very pretty-WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I really like this one guy (by the way im 13 years old) - the promblem is that im not very pretty. I have plain brown hair that is a little past my sholder, and hazle eyes. I have freckles, and i think I have a large nose. I have a few blackheads. I feel like I need to do somthing to get me prettier - do you have any suggustions, like hairslyles, clothes, or somthing? Make up is out of the question because my mom would be wondering why I would be wearing it. I need to find some way to get his attention!!

first of all elsie you seem in your discription of your self to be very pretty and i personally think maybe you just need a little help to make you very appealing , first of all everyone gets zits and blackheads but if your really self consious of them get proactive it worcks great secon of all pay attention to how his freind girls or old girlfrfeinds dress and present themselves ( if its bad dont even try ) i would suggest a simple preppy look to get you started for spring

a pony tail and messy bun always worcks , but straighting it or getting your hair layered and side bangs is really in! ( an d cute ) and as far as make up goes a little nuetral eyeshadow and some mascara an dchap stick is all you need and i think if you talked to your mom about your self confidince and how you really want to present yourself well and would like some new cloths and a little makeup becuse your also growing up and not a little kid anymore i think she will give in and if moneys a problum babysit and earn it on your own if you need to becuse it will make you feel alot better about yourself . i hope this helps but most of all dont change yourself to impress this guy , if he dosent like who you really are that hes not worth it and you new look should draw some attention anyway , xoxoxo best of luuck

Okay, I know this sounds cliche, but the first thing you have to do is identify things that you DO like about yourself and focus on those things. Confidence will attract people more than anything else. Maybe your "large nose" makes you unique and gives you character and other people think its cute!

But now for some practical beauty advice - use a mild scrub a few times a week - St. Ives has an inexpensive and nice scrub. Tinted lip gloss is a pretty way to draw some attention to your lips. You could also use a tinted moisturizer instead of just plain face lotion- not foundation, just a little something to even out skin tone. Sometimes rinsing your hair with cold water at the end of a shower will add shine (you can also rinse with vinegar or lemon juice once in a while to get rid of build-up and increase shine.) An eyelash curler is a fabulous thing. Makes your eyelashes look slammin' without mascara.

Finally, to get him to notice you - DON'T TRY TOO HARD!!! Just talk to him naturally - be honest about your likes and dislikes. Be as natural and friendly as you can. Don't be too embarrassed to take interest in the things he does.

for a guy maybe he's not the guy for you


but you can give yourself a nice crop style in the back of your head uno cut it in a angle (upside down oval) to show the nape hairs with a beautiful lining wash your face and apply the least amount of shade just to smooth out any defined marks
The rest is having fun when you meet with him
Your 13 both of you have a great deal of growing to do
Don't let this inhibit you because if you are on the offense he won't know which way your going to take him to win him over

First, be yourself, if this boy likes you he will like you for you, if he dosn't ditch him, and know that theres another boy out there who will LOVE you for all you are. For looks, try a cut shag cut, with bangs, bangs are just a bold statement. Cloths, just be simple feminine , and beautiful, but make sure you feel comfy in those cloths or else it won't work, boys like girly feminine girls, who embrace being a female, the may be friends with tom-boys, but they never go deeper that friends. At your age you don'y need make-up, but if it makes you feel more confident, ask your mom if she'll put just a touch of cover up on your black heads, believe me, I know how those things can really bring down your self-esteem, then put on a lip-gloss, even vaseline or something like that will work. I'm 14, and I recently started wearing a little lip stuff, and once you do it, it's fun. (I usto be a chapstick lover, I'm trying to loose that). And the most important thing is SMILE! If your teeth aren't as white as youd like them to be, try some Hydrigine Peroxide 1-2 a week, Just put some on you tooth brush after you brush your teeth with the paste, brush, let it sit, and rinse. And try just going up to him and talking to him. I know that sound impossible, but try it if you can. I hope this helps!

First of all, you need to gain more self-esteem. If you feel you aren't attractive enough, then you should try to do things that make you feel better about yourself. While most men will look at nothing more than appearance (these are generally men you want to avoid), some may be more concerned about one's personality, or how nice they are (if these men are nice back, these are good men).
First of all, you need to figure out if this guy will accept you for who you are. If not, you should probably move on, as it most likely would have ended badly anyways.

lol i'm 13 too lol but you know mayb use proactiv or osmtsin toge rid of black head, ifyour hai is tstraight mayb have a hair cut inn layers lol if wavy or curly mayb straighten it alittle buy some new clottehs for makeup lol hah may try atleast eyeliner and ligloss and eyeshadow taht's not alot lol you don 't ahve to wear foundation lol taht's what i would do lol srry if it doesn't help alot but these are the things i suggest for you to do =] lol haha and odn't sa oru not pretty i do taht aloti compare myself to other ppl taht i feel bad lol but trust me lol mayb do osme changes not liek big ones bt changes taht you would be happy with things to make you feel better

firstly, if this guy wasnt a jerk, he would like you for your personality and not looks [ but we all know that guys arnt like that ]. secondly, you probably arnt as ugly as you think you are, you just need to give your confidence a boost. what always makes me feel better is going to get my nails/hair done. and i love to go shopping. so get together with your friends and go to the mall or give eachother makeovers or w.e. and if he doesnt start liking you right away, dont worry. talk to him and wait for him to get to know the real you better. i hope this helps. =]
