Delete those emails. Yes they are scams. Unfortunately you can't trust any site now adays. They are some real people that visit Craiglists but there is also tons of spam and illegal scams to rob you money. Be very careful. Anything that has to do with Money transfer or cheque or credit card is a scam.

The way the scam works is that these checks are drawn in other countries. Your bank may clear the check in a few days, but it can take several weeks for it to find out the check is bogus.

I had a friend that needed to sell a condo fast. We posted to Craigs list with pictures. It was a nice condo in a good location and he got his asking price in 4 weeks. No hasssles. I'm sure there are scams. Get money orders or certified checks.

I have seen a few scams, mostly in the tickets area, like this one lady wanted 100$ for 20$ concert tickets, try to find a seller or buyer who is local and can meet you somewhere to pay you or vice versa.

You are being scammed by the responders, report them to Craiglist. This is a really good website.

They will make the bad guys go away.

I have alot of experience on craigslist and yes it is a scam. Just report it as spam.

I have also had alot of success on craigslist but you just have to use common sense. If you want more protection I would use ebay.
