I need a way to store all my equiptment to decorate my house when I buy one. I tried using a storage container in the Dark Brotherhood headquarters in Cheydinhal only to find all my stored gear missing when I returned a while later. What should I do?

Yes... I actually have a hard time walking though my house cause it's filled with my old gear I haven't sold yet. LOL.

I had the same thing happen with the fighters guild..... Best thing to do is buy your own house and join the theives guild.... that way anything your leave in your house will stay there.... until then find a spot in a field that you can remember and leave it there, Note you may still loose some enchanted items aquired through quests if you put them down I was on a quest and accidentally sold the item but when I went to buy it back it was gone......or at least was no longer enchanted....

In the elder scrolls 3 morrowind you could furnish your house with that method, I actually have a library and an alchemy roome with almost every book in the gamea nd thousands of potions. I would imagine it sthe same for thsi one but as I havent had the chance to play it yet(no xbox 360 and im poor) I wouldnt really be able to answer.

Store your gear either in your house or in the Arena quarters. Thats what I do with mine and its always there to go back to and get.

A house outside of the Imperial City doesn't cost much and its a great way of storing stuff. I would guess one of the Dark Brotherhood decided your stuff was good enough to steal.
