I'm doing a project on improving memory in Alzheimer's patients. It is NOT research based but more my own type of experiement. I need suggestions on different methods I could try to help people improve their memory. For example, using colors as triggers for other things (red makes them remember they like apples). This example is already being used in the project and I still need to come up with some more. ANY suggestions would be greatly apprieciated as I'm starting to run out of time.

I think the best way to improve memory is by using the power of subconscious mind, by giving repeated suggestions to your mind like

"I have a great memory. I can remember anything I want to with great ease. I am performing well in my exams because of extra-ordinary memory power."

Two books I would like to recommend:
"The power of your subconscious mind"
&
"Instant self-hypnosis".

Associating the smell of mint is being suggested as a memory aid. A recent study indicates maybe some validity. Peo. have long noticed that smells recall a memory: ie. turkey gravey? a certain perfume? Sea air? Egg salad sandwiches remind me of our family's trips to the beach. Sometines I "look" for the grit of sand in it.
