what would u say is the meaning of us being born & then to die. i believe it is for us to learn new things, learn by our mistakes, to go through "hell un high water" to acchive things in our lives. to have happyness, sadness, hardship. to love and be loved. then come back and do it all over again.

I have often pondered this question, my pet theory is that we are put on Earth to prove to ourselves that we end up at the right place at the end of our time. e.g Heaven / Hell or other

I hope not. Once was plenty.

There is a time and place for everything under heaven.

We are here because we can be. Our life is what it is because it must be. We contend with it in the manner that has become us. We could not do otherwise.

We are the sum of our life, the expression of our whole past unto the first generation. All of which has brought to bear forces that shape and mold our minds, our will, and our perceptions. We can only choose among the choices that we perceive as presented to us. These choices are seldom of our own making alone. Thus it is that we interact with the universe to obey its bidding because we can do nothing else. It is the way we are made.

Why are we born and then die? Gould knows, doesn't this happen to everything?
Wouldn't it be nice to have a purpose on this planet, but all we seem to do is make it worse and make life worse for every living thing with our 'progress'. we may learn new things and then pass on this knowledge to others, for them to progress further, but what is it all for? Do we come back and do it all again?
I think I've just created a longer question than you started with, sorry. I would love to know the answer if anybody has it.

I do not know what it is about. While I find it pleasurable to ponder the question, I fear the answer may remain elusive. So in the meantime I do what my body tells me I should. I labor, I eat, I sleep, I love. These are things my body was designed to do. While the abstract questions remain unanswered, the other answers are quite clear. I have arms legs hands and I must use them. I am a male so I must court the female. These purposes of life are quite clear.

No great mystery...Think about it this way. If we were not being born, then the world as we know it would not be.
Maybe there would be only vegetation on earth.
We die to make room for others.

Force.....Ignorance.....Pain

Wisdom.....Love.....Pleasure

It's all about the evolution of your soul through pain(by force) and/or pleasure(through wisdom). There's the Mind(and/or Soul) in the middle to help us look(think, learn, recall) and find better ways to get there.

It doesn't mean anything. What does it mean for a rock to be upon the ground? Nothing. There it is.
