The fact that you say you have a deep scar does concern me a little because normally when you get a cut from shaving it would not be penetrate the skin enough to leave a deep scar. You could try buying an electric razor, or if you're really brave you could try waxing your legs. Failing either of those options, perhaps you need to buy a better quality razor. The cheap ones tend to cause cuts and nicks more easily than a good quality one. If possible, get yourself one that has a swivel head so that it can go along with the contours of your legs more easily without cutting you. Please be careful and take good care of yourself ok? All the best!

Tell him that unless he wants to buy to a better razor, then he can just shut up. (In a more polite way than that.)
It isn't like you mean to cut yourself, he is really overreacting. Just don't tell him if you get nicked while you are shaving, there really isn't any reason to tell him. Just put some Bacetracin and a Band-Aid on it and forget about it. If your dad sees the cut, (I don't know why he would, though) just tell him you got cut when you fell down or you got a paper cut, etc. If he is going to be an idiot when he finds out you nicked yourself, there is no reason for him to find out. And it isn't like you are doing anything wrong by not telling him, because it is none of his business anyway.
And you might want to get some Mederma or something to put on the scar (I know it's expensive) because maybe he just doesn't want to see you end up with another bad scar that you would be stuck with, so maybe he'll stop worrying if he can't see the scar.

ooooo i know lol I think that you should get nair that thing works in life 10 min for like almst a week, you will do less shaving and it wont hurt unless you have been scratchin, my ma didn't even let me use razors till I turned 13 so you pretty much get it a lil easy,

and Girl I used to cut myself all the time cause I never one, knew hoe sharp the freakin blade was, and then you know i have curved tiny legs so i had to learn my shape, so there are many ways to dodge this thing, you will get better mammi, don't be discourged cause you are truly NOT alone ^_^ heehee

He is just worried. If he didnt flip out you would think he didnt care. Yes he might go over board. Why dont you try something like Nair. Or an electric razor maybe suggest this so he doesn't have to worry.. I'm sure he just isn't ready for you to be shaving, it shows your not his "little girl" anymore.

Your father just cares and loves you - he's just doing his job as a parent. Just try to be more careful when you're shaving and don't be in a hurry.
Do you use soap and water or do you shave dry......
If you shave dry - then you will cut yourself a lot.

every time one of my children get hurt I feel it especially when they do something stupid. I would get a better razor. also have your mom or a trusted female show you how to shave and where all the tricky spots are and how to work around them. older women than you that have experience is a great source of information. sometimes teens think they know more than they do or they are too prideful to ask. that is silly ask away.

Use Nair shaving cream. You put it on ur legs, leave it there for like 3 minutes and then take a wet cloth and wipe it off.

All parents feel pain when kids cut themselves, purposely or accidently. They are expecting you to be careful & do your best although you do. They just try to protect you and not want something to happen to you. That's all. All you do is tell them that you will do better from now on and that you are not a reckless person.

Do you live with your mom too? If so, have her talk to your dad that this sometimes happens. A new blade is sharper, so be careful on those. If you're that concerned, why not use something like Nair so you won't have to use a razor?

You should explain this to him

Or you should get a reusable/rechargable razor or Veet shaving cream. You just put on the cream, then wash it off a few minutes later.
