I do not take any kind of birth control, since I do not need it as my Boyfriend is well.. Fixed... for lack of a better term. We are going on vacation in the begining of May and I still know when I will have my cycle, as I have always kept in tune with my body. The problem is that I will start my cycle on the exact day that we leave for our trip in May .. What can I do to not have a period that month or at least just postpone it for a few days? Any input or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thanks to all your advice and to some of those who were unsure as well. I called my OBGYN he said if I take my pill when I start my next cycle and then continue taking it all the way through to when I should start again, I should not have a period on the days I will be on vacation. However once I stop taking the pill my cycle will an should start. Hopefully that will work..

i dont think there is anything else that would stop it except LOTS of stress

The only possible way of controlling your menstrual cycle is taking a birth control pill.
if you want more control over your periods, see your OBGYN for the pill.
have a great vacation!

There are medications a DR. can prescribe to stop a period. But, unless you have a medical reason, they don't just prescribe it.

Their is nothing you can do and it's not advisable you do this because you can seriously mess up your cycle and throw everything out of whack!
