As far as I know, there are no laws about snakes that have been purchased legally in any state. HOWEVER, there are states that make catching snakes and taking them from the wild illegal. Check on the laws of your own state for the information. (This can usually be done online from the state game and fish commission).

No, there are no legal ramifications if your in the US for a corn snake. You can even get them from the wild, but thats not a good idea. They are more likely to be aggressive and carry disease and parasites and mites. Best to just buy one. They are very common species in North America.

if you buy them from a pet shop no if you get if from the wild yes...we had to sign off papers for our corn snake and if we let it in the wild we would get in trouble....according to west virginia laws
