It took about a year for my periods to come back after I was on the injection. I had been on it for 4 and a half years though, I don't know if that makes a difference.

I've been off the injection for ten days now and I've been told that the injection can stay in your system for 8-12 weeks after stopping. Also it can take up to 18 months to get pregnant. However there's hundreds of replies I've read saying how people have got pregnant after three weeks, two months all sorts of time periods. It doesn't matter how long you've been on it for. It all depends how your body recovers from it coz every woman is different. Good luck though.

hi i asked a similar question on here, i had just 1 shot in aug 2005 and have just had my first period! my friend only had 2 and it took her 4 yrs to get pregnant she never got regular periods in that time either. But like many people say everyone is different and some people get pregnant the following month after stopping, i have just started taking agnus castus capsules which you can get in many health shops which is suposed to regulate your periods and hormones and prepare you for pregnancy maybe you should give them a try, well fingers crossed and good luck xx

6 months to a year depending on when you had you last shot and how long you've been on it. I was on the shot for 4 months. I got pregnant 8 months later, but miscarried.

with this type of contraception,The amount of time you have been using it is irrelevant. The injection can take anything from from 1day to 2 years for your system to return to normal. Its a complete guessing and waiting game on this one.Best of lcuk and hpe your one of the lucky ones who gets preggo real fast
