I usually turn it into a joke and laugh along with them. I find that the less upset you get, the less slagging you get about whatever happened.
And if you think cops aren't horrible about this to their co-workers, I'm here to tell you. they are!

Depends on what kind of embarrassment. But most of the time, I just joke around not to get too embarrassed.

Keep you chin up, laugh if its funny, most of the time how you react to something like this either makes it a non issue or blows it way out of proportion.
