I stopped taking my birth control pills in October. Ever since then I've been having problems again with my period. Now instead of having it for 4 days, I have it for 7 days. It comes twice a month now, and instead of being light like it usually is, its heavier. I'm not sure why this is, so any help would be great!

It is because the pill made it so that it was a fake pregnency, all those hormones were there to regulate, since you're off the pill, you body is adjusting to the change in the hormones. since pill gives fake periods, as the hormones disipate so does there control. but if the bleeding persists like that i'd really have your doctor check it out there really might be something wrong!

Being on birth control, your periods will become lighter. Since you had stopped using birth control, your body is regulating itself and it can take a few months to get it regulated. If it becomes a real problem for you, I would contact your doctor.

Birth Control has a great way of totally screwing up ones cycle, that is why i would never take it, it messes it up more than it helps...Yeah it helps while your on the pill but as soon as you come off your cycles are just as bad if not worse than befor...

one of the reasons i went on the pill to begin with was because it shortens the time of your period and can also lighten the flow. it sounds like it did the same for you!
when you stop taking the pill it often takes months for your body to get into a 'normal' cycle again. ('normal' being different for every woman of course!). i wouldn't worry about it at all.
