With an I-Pod you have to use their software I-tunes. I personally do not like having ot use software to transfer songs to my device. If you have a Mp3 player that is considered a storage device as well. You can just drag and drop files under windows. I like using this method better.

An iPod is soo much easier to use i think. My sister has an mp3 player and I think its confussing to use. With an iPod you can have your music automatically synced with iYunes whenever you plug it in to the computer.

if you use itunes - yeah, ipod because you just connect and it updates ur ipod

if you don't use itunes - any mp3 player, convenience depends on if it also has the syncing ability or just drag and drop capability
