I cant stand to see women breast feeding in public places, even more so I food courts or resturants. Moms might think its beautiful and magical but I dont wanna see your child sucking on your breast while Im trying to eat. Why some women think its okay to jank out their breast in a food court or resturant and just let it hang out is beyond me. Guess what you wanted a baby and its inconvinent! You need to breast feed? Bring a bottle or please remove your self from the other diners and go to a nice quiet private area. I payed 20 dollars or more to eat here and not look at your nasty breast.

for all of those who like to call me retarded i wont respond to that, but yes you should have to cover up and leave IMO. Is it natural of course it is but so is defecating, would you like me to do that in the food court as well? I mean i cant always know when it will need to be done, just like feeding a baby, so next time ill just drop my pants in front of you and let nature take its course, since its okay to let nature happen in front of diners

I totally agree. I think it is so rude of moms to do it in public, on planes, etc. Even if they cover them up with a blanket. It only takes a few minutes to feed them, go to your car, or someplace else where the general public doesn't have to watch. I feel for you, and you aren't the only one out there. :-)

Hey I agree with you. Ignore the people who give half-answers like "It's natural". You made a perfect point by using the bathroom analogy. People in general are very plain-brained these days and don't think things through. You're right. The people saying you're wrong because it's natural, are wrong.
I'm a server at a restaurant and whenever I ask why people tip 10% or less when I give them good service, the stupid Yahoo Answers people (like a couple of the answers here) leave the same, half-brained comments like "Stop b*tching, you're probably complaining the whole time and they tip you poorly for bad service." I'm like, did you read the question?

LOL -- There are definitely some etiquette issues involved.
On planes, etc., where tying up the restroom is a problem, I don't mind seeing someone discreetly breastfeed. In restaurants or other large public places, there's no reason not to go to the restroom or lounge (outside the restroom) to breastfeed.
I think (don't know from experience) that after the public exposure of giving birth and the need to feed, mothers just forget how they would have felt about seeing someone else's boobs in public. (They're kind of oblivious about a lot of things, actually, especially how "adorable" it is for their kids to scream in public.) lol
Anyway, if the mom really needs to feed in public, a blanket to cover the baby/breast is really a great idea!

I don't know what your problem is. I know that some women are a little more open about breast feeding than others, but the ones that I have seen doing it are doing it to feed their child Nature's way. I see nothing wrong with it, so get over it. Makes me wonder if you are not a bit jealous of it. Hmmm, maybe not, but your problem with it suggests some deeper hang up. Let life be and go on living yours.

I've never seen a woman just "let it hang out" I think that as long as they are covering themselves up that you just need to be a little understanding. Don't you think that it is inconvient enough to have to have a baby needing a physical part of your body to feed, many times a day (babies don't just eat 3 meals a day) without having to also worry about finding somewhere else to go because other people can't handle seeing a blanket over your top half with a baby underneath? Give moms a break.

I totally agree. You know when your child is hungry, you can find ways to organize your time. And if it happens and you can't be at home go into the restroom or back out into your car. Yes it may be natural, but what about the other children around in public areas. If I had children I would not want my child seeing someone else's boob in public. I would have too many questions to answer from them.

They aren't feeding their babies in public to hamper your dining pleasure. And for those who say feed them in the bathroom.....would you like to go eat your dinner in the bathroom? Perhaps you could take your plate to the stall and munch in there a while and see how you like it? Most mothers I have ever seen use a cover up of some sort to prohibit you or anyone else from seeing them. And no, you can't just "schedule" baby's feeding when it's convenient. Sometimes they get hungry, sometimes they don't. Imagine...they are just like you! Get over yourself.

I had breastfed in public... but I would always throw a thin blanket over that whole thing... nobody saw my boob... ever. You mean you see women just plopping it out in plain view? I don't know why a woman would do that! It can be done without showing everything, or anything... weird

If I do notice it I just don't look over there again. No big deal.
Most people use a blanket or something to cover up.

I think breast feeding in public is quite acceptable when I am looking to see some nice firm breasts. However, there should be an age limit so anyone over the age of 38 should be arrested and prosecuted on the spot.
