Yes. It was a film (I was supposed to be in bed and not watching it) and I was around 7 years old. Mum was down at the neighbours and I sneaked up to watch tv. There was a scene with a mirror, which sucked people into it. When I tried to go to bed, I forgot that we had a full length mirror at the bottom of the stairs. Needless to say Mum came home and found me crouched at the foot of the stairs terrified to go past the mirror. GROUNDED. This was around 50 years ago and tv stopped around 10 pm. I was not an abandoned child, honest.

There was a hoax ghost hunt type programme in the late 1980's that caused a massive stir. It was filmed as a serious documentry.
At the time I got home late and switched it on, just in time to see a young girl 'possessed' and speaking in a man's voice. That sent a chill down my spine until I realised that it was a fake.

I think when i was about 8 a program called 'strange but true' Scared the sh1t out of me. The visual effects present in the program would be considered crude, and borderline amusing nowadays, but back then i didn't think for one second that wire would be moving the chest of drawers across the room.

Yes, when I was a ittle girl back in the late fifties, early sixties, the program "The Twilight Zone" scared the living daylights out of me. Now I can watch it and laugh. It's really lame now. Nothing scary about it.

There was a one-off programme/documentary called FEAR where a group of people and cameramen and soundcrew had to perform scary tasks in an old unused mental hospital to see whether they could see or hear anything unusaul on film. That was really scary.
Anyone remember it?

I didn't like the Cybermen in the old Dr Who series, the one that was on in the 1970's, I was only a kid and it sh** me up. Also didn't like some of the Avengers either, with Emma Peel, I was only about 10-11 years then.

There was a thing a few years back (way before 'Most Haunted') where this TV crew spent Halloween in a house that was supposedly haunted. That freaked me out even though it was a hoax. We didn't find that out until afterwards.
