well here is my situation i was spotting earlier last mid week and i called my doctor and they put me on bed rest. then on friday i was spotting again and they send me to the hospital. I had blood drawn and an ultrasound done and the er doctor assured me everythign looked fine and i feel everything is fine too. i got to see my baby's heartbeat and i was so happy everything was allright! but ever since i left from the hospital i am still spotting very lightly and it has not progressed much! i have no cramps or no heavy bleeding so i was wondering have any of you gone thru the same thing on your pregnancy! because whan i was pregnant with my first son i never had this. Also the doctor said it was implatantion what was causinf it and he explain everything to me. It's just alittle nerve wrecking if you know what i mean! and i am barely 7 weeks pregnant!

i was just lookinf thru my labs and they state the findings as a small subchorionic bleed meaning is merely a sequestration of blood within the folds of the developing placenta. It does not usually affect the pregnancy or the baby, except for causing some bleeding. It has nothing to do with placenta previa!

Yes, I had a subchorionic bleed as well. I know how nerve wracking that can be. Hang in there. Mine were at 12 and 17 weeks but both times I bled heavily (i.e. filled up a maxi pad on the way to the ER on that five minute drive). I ended up bleeding or spotting pretty much the entire second trimester. My son is now eight and just fine.

Just take it easy and rest. Keep in mind, activities like internal exams and ultrasounds, sex and even bowel movements can intensify the spotting. Just remember, many of us bleed or spot and ended up being just fine.

(((hugs)))

It could be a "low lying placenta" or "placenta previa" .. I had this!
I started bleeding bright red blood at 15 weeks .. went to the ER (hystrical, because I thought I was losing my baby) .. they did an ultrasound, baby was perfect and the bleeding was because I have a "low lying placenta". I then (for 4 weeks) continued spotting brown. It does not affect the baby whatsoever. The doctor said 96% of people who have a "low-lying" placenta in early pregnancy will clear itself up and will be perfect by full term and will have a normal vaginal delivery. Worse case scenerio is that if the placenta doesn't move up (from your uterus expanding as your tummy grows) .. then in that 4% you will have to have a c-section. But you will still have a healthy baby :)
I then went in for my 18 week ultrasound .. and no more low-lying placenta!! it was completely normal!! no spotting .. nothing! it was as if I never had it :)
I've known SEVERAL women who had this (some spotted, some didn't) and EVERY one of them cleared up by term and deliverd their babies vaginally! It's so very common in early pregnancy. Don't stress about it. I stressed myself retarded when it happend to me. I'm now 25 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby boy!
Hang in there .. and relax :)
Also, if its not the placenta .. it could just be you spoting after intercourse! that's normal too! (doctor describes it as like scratching the inside of your nose with your fingernail:)

**PS - everytime I started to spot .. I would lay on my left side .. that seemed to make the bleeding stop, and it eventually went away for good **

good luck! God bless!

Have you been having vaginal sex? If so this causes spotting in early pregnancy. and you can have spottting from implantation bleeding for a few days and be normal. if it was anything bad your HGC levels would have been dropping when you went back to the doc.
