It depends on what you do. First, you need to live off base/post. Second, you need to disengage yourself socially from your coworkers. You might be surprised at how many won't tell, and would just rather be your friend in an honest light. If you're lucky to have those kinds of people serving with you... you're way ahead. Ask for a duty station near a big city, Seattle, Chicago, New York, San Diego, Houston etc... they have huge gay communities, where you can hide, and meet people like a regular guy, instead of a military one.

You have to be careful on two fronts with this situation I think. You have to watch out for your coworkers, senior ppl finding out what you do. Don't advertise what you're doing at work, just say you met friends, or something, and be more interested in what they did. On the second front, you have to watch out for guys who aren't in the military. If you reject them, sometimes they'll start drama at your work, by trying to report you.

Usually, none of this happens. I know gay guys in the military that have been in relationships for 9 years and more. They say its easier if you do your job well, so that no one has a reason to want you to leave. When you start messing up the regular stuff, thats when this could come back to get you. Most gay guys that aren't in the military, will be trustworthy... just stay clear of guys that do drugs, or have sex problems etc. Be careful, observe people, and put out 'feelers' to gauge opinions. Ask questions about gay ppl in the news, or a gay cousin or brother (everyone has one) and assess how you're gonna deal with each person.

To meet guys...regardless of military or not, is hard. I reccomend doing it online in your case. Yahoo! Personals or gay.com. Gay.com has a chat service that is broken down by area/town/city. Its very local, so you can see who's in your area. Be careful to do this on your own computer, not one on base/post at the USO or something. Delete your history, and cookies. Make sure you don't use your name in your profile, or contact info.

(sorry this is getting long) I also think it'd be smart to open up another checking account, with a debit card. That way, you can charge stuff (web sites, magazine subscriptions, books, bar tabs) that won't be the same account attached to your military pay. Take cash out of your regular account, and deposit in the new one.

In the sources, I'll reccomend some books as well... Best of luck, and welcome to the fold.

Just how important is your military career to you? I'm sure you know how to keep a secret; but you may have to accept that your career can be ruined by that secret. If you're ok with that, then simply use accepted stealth methods and do not allow yourself to become the victim of blackmail.

Don't. Please don't. Unless you feel that your military career isn't as important as this relationship, because if anyone found out about it, or if your partner backed out, you could be in serious trouble. That's the kind of f**ked up system we've got going in the military right now.

Believe me, I'd be all for this, if it didn't mean a 90% chance of getting kicked out of the military. ^^; I wish you luck, anyway.

it's too easy. i got lucky mt 1st time it happenned. i had suspected this guy was gay while in training. so i started touching playing with myself. he asked if he could help so we went somewhere private and he sucked me off clean. that's not the point. but it's easy. most of the guys i messed with while i was in were non military people. just look around online and you will be able to search in your area. it's too easy. and u just have to know what ur doing. i've ****** guys in the *** in their barracks room so it's all about timing and if everybody is on the same page.

I was USAF for ten years - that is where I met my husband who retired after 30 years in 2001. I knew tons of gay people - still do. You just have to be yourself!

very carefully. I'm sure there is an abundance of people willing to be bi-curious, hahah... just realize what the consequences could be, because they are far worse than just being thrown out as many people think.

Be VERY discreet!!

Always meet your boyfriend far away from the base, and make sure that you are never affectionate in public! Be careful, or you might get court martialled!

dont fear, in army many men are like this, most of them like homosexual activities, what all you need to do is to give him some hints that you like him, stare at his privates sometimes and make sure that he see you doing that. admire his body every now and then. This way he will come to know what do you want.

Tempt him...by your actions....You can praise his body when he is changing, or just grin when you see him changing or see his privates. Tell him that you like his body....and quote some imaginary incident related to privates touching when you were kid...This way you can surely attract him towards you. Try to go to him when he is preparing to sleep and tell him that you want to talk to him and then sleep with him in his bed....or the best way is that you can offer him a good body message..saying that it will relax him.
Best of luck....
