Ok, I live in Washburn Maine, I have to do someone type of essay about Canada well more like a story, too....Oh, yeah this is for my writing class....I was wondering what the school systems were like, the politics, things to do, the laws, and ext....You must have the idea of what I'm talking about...Any ways I was hoping that someone could help learn more about Canada.....Are there any good sites I can go to, to learn more about Canada...I mean I lived there for like three years but I never grew a custom to the laws and what not....So if you could please help me with my question...Thanks for your time........yeah right......

I have lived in Canada my whole life.(24 years) I'm not sure how I could help you though because I really don't know much about the differences between here and the states.

The stuff to do is the same! Except more hockey..ithink. The politics are stupid, and our prime minister right now kind of kisses george bush's ***. Just search canada or canadian culture on google. The laws are kind of the same as the states except there is no death penalty, and smoking weed and gay marriage are decriminalized. The school are kind of the same except we obviously learn different things in "history" or "social studies" class, and we spell some words differently. The schools here are usually: Kindergarten-gr.7(elementary),gr.8-12(secondary) and it costs a lot to go to university.

schools much the same three major federal parties Liberal, Conservative. New democrats.. We are have a prime minister instead of a president. our provincial leader is a premier. we use british common law.We dont live in igloos. Vancouver Island is larger than England The Royal Canadian Mounted police is our federal police force..Come visit us
