It seems even the French are admitting they were wrong about it. When will American liberals?
Once they do figure out that man made Global Warming is not a threat, what will the next environmental apocalypse be?

Steve: Liberals have plenty to gain from global warming... power. If you get enough people scared of what the mean ol' Republicans are going to do to the Earth, you can get elected into office. This one even comes with the added bonus of increasing regulation of oil companies.

I have seen this article in several press releases, so I am skeptical aboutthe whole global warming issue. I do think that anything we can do to reduce pollution is good, but I would rather spend $10 a month to the national arbor day foundation than spend $1500 a year for my carbon credits. Since that is such a lucrative business, I have thought about starting my own carbon credit business and buying up old farms and planting trees that I can sell.
The bird flu has been in the news for the past 2 or 3 years. A buddy of mine works for the local zoo and he is the head of animal operations. He told me that Avian Flu or Bird Flu as the press calls it is a joke.
He told me that the only way you can catch it is if you live in close proxmity to your farm animals as they do in third world countries. So his direct quote was "there is nothing to fear about bird flu, unless you are a bird."
Global Warming, Bird Flu, etc. are greatly blown out of proportion. The global warming argument has been going on for over 100 years and they alternate between global warming and cooling. So give me a break!

It is NOT just an American concern, this is a World issue !!.
There will ALWAYS be a crisis where mankind is concerned,
we have to accept the state of the Earth as it is and accept the natural course of things be they man-made, contributed by man (and if so fix it !) or just plain natural.
I think we have to deal with certain issues as they arise, the concern should be the environment and it's preservation, the concentration of research into eliminating disease, health issues, and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
Stand up and be counted, I am not American but it seems to me that you all moan a lot but still vote people like George Bush into office.
Stop moaning and do something about it.

The socialists will beat this dead horse over the next several years, it is the one with the longest legs right now, environmentalism is their next rallying point, carries good press and the national media outlets donate more to these socialist causes than any other industry.
It is the key way that congress can get more control of our lives and money.

Guy, you need to check out the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" with Al Gore narrating. Facts are facts, and we are indeed IN TROUBLE. Truth is, noone wants to face the scrutiny. After all, we've got the wonderful oil industry that robs us all blind..... you think they're gonna lose precious billions without knocking known the idea that they're the primary cause. We could be in hybrids which use no fossil fuels whatsoever and get 100 miles per gallon on air but, do you really think greedy ceo's are gonna go for that without being able to monopolize the market the same way they have with oil? Lets be real.... so no, "there is no global warming." yeah ok!
