I need some recommendations on where to go for a short vacation (4-5 days). I am looking for inexpensive, warm, and lots of different things to do, like tours or sightseeing. I would like to stay in the eastern US, so that airfare isn't outrageous, but any ideas would be great, especially from personal experience.

Thanks!

Florida - if it is too far to drive you might consider flying into Orlando which is usually the cheapest because of all the flights to Disney-world. Of course compare to other airports.

Don't stay at the the big name hotels. There are plenty of Motel Six style options along the beach. Or better yet you might consider camping.

Drive down the coast and out into the keys. Go down one coast and come up the other.
