I'm afraid to try one someday b/c I'm white and I don't want anyone in one of those churches to make a big deal out of it. So would u black people make anything out of it or just treat me like u would treat your relatives/friends? I come from Iowa and I'm a farm gal so I havn't ever experienced racism. I'm also really, really shy.

My avatar is what I wish I looked like. B/c of all the cancer talk I never "try" to tan but sometimes I don't pay too much attention in the summer and get sunburned.

Opps sorry everyone I wasn't sure or not if calling it a black babtist church would be me in trouble or not but I couldn't think of anything else to describe one of those chruchs as. I prefered to call it a singing church or chruch that Oprah Winfrey would attended but I often find her tv show quite boring but the Road Trip episodes were sure fun to watch.

I am a white woman that is a member of a black baptist church, if the church is really about God you will not care what any one thinks. I love my church and am also a country girl I grew up in a place called Happy, Tx. I think a pop. of about 380 people. Church is fun as long as you there for the right reason. God loves every one no matter what color your skin is or where you are from.

For someone who has never experienced racism, you sure sound like a racist. You will not be judged if you attend an all black church. You might be surprised at how much they welcome you. It's been my experience with finding "the right" church, the all black congregations are the most welcoming and friendly. Thank you and may GOD bless.

Find a mixed Church then that is just as lively. I recommend a Pentecostal Church if you want to find God and the Holy Spirit and Jesus. Read up on Elim Pentecostal Church.
