Although, this is obviously a sarcastic question, I'll answer it anyway...

Because Brett Favre became the number one quarterback of all time in an era where the competition was much higher and drugs and steroids reign. He's a down to earth guy who is as fiery as they come on the field.

His own struggles with addiction, and his honesty about it, help him relate to millions of American citizens and fans worldwide, and he's one of the few quarterbacks who have been able to handle the pressure of the Green Bay Packer's dynasty. For years, Bart Starr was known as the best quarterback in the history of the NFL's most storied franchise, but now it is without question, Brett Favre.

He's a great person who gives to many charities, he's conquered alot of personal struggle, including the untimely deaths of his father and brother as well as his wife's cancer, and, most of all, he doesn't play the game for the glory or the money. You can tell just by the way he laughs in the middle of a game, whether his team is up or down, that he plays simply for the love of the game.

Because in a time of overpriced prima donas, drugs, steroids. wife beatings and every other trouble with the law, Brett just keeps coming to work. He loves the game and he treats it and the fans with respect. He is a throwback to a better time when athletics was good and pure.

As John Madden, "Well, look at the guy, he's serious but , I mean (mumble, mumble) they guy is tall and you got a like that in a quarter back, cause tall is good. And then you got that attitude and everyone needs an attitude especially your quarter back (mumble, mumble) so yea he's great. Here, let me draw you some lines on the screen."
And stuff.

If that's how you see it, your opinion holds no credibility whatsoever. I hope the FudgePackers have another dismal season. Go Bears!
