The deepest lake in the world is Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia. It is also the most ancient lake in the world which is situated in a huge bowl set 445m in above sea level. Everyone who has been to its hores is impressed and charmed by the grandeur, size, and unusual might of this Siberian miracle of nature.
Lake Baikal, despite the industry that surrounds part of it, remain the cleanest reservoir of fresh water in the world which is a home to more than 1,000 species of aquatic flora! The lake contains over 1/5 of the world's fresh surface water and more than 90% of Russia's liquid fresh surface water. It is also a World Heritage Site.
Lake Baika from Mongolian means "nature" and is also known as the Blue Eye of Siberia. It is on the top 10 destination in the world. The Lake is very beautiful and if you have a chance to go there someday you will definitely enjoy it!
