Well mam, one first has to understand that there is only one HUMAN race, the next thing one has to understand is that residential racial lines are really fairly blurred, and that if pockets of what appears to be a color line are really perceptions of a comfort level of behaviors and attitudes which are accepted components that are, for the most part, accepted by the residents of that area. As well there is a strong correlation between income and despair. So to finish this answer succinctly, it is becoming widely believed by researchers of the dynamics of racial separation that income is the independent variable.

There is no residential segregation based on race. I don't know who told you that. The issue is both a cultural and a financial one - I personally know I'd want to live around people who I could find more in common with and understand.
And its not my fault that dirt poor areas have a much higher concentration of Blacks than Whites.

there are still traditions that go as far back as 1500's still alive in all society. which means the thinking is the same and recycled. u.s. ordered integration at atime when segregation was not the issue, but rascism ,and slavery's 1st cousin JIM CROW. rascicm was truly never dealt with here ,just swept under the rug,and given the dangerous appearance of being gone. 1996 dragging lynching of byrd in texas by a few white guys, and still 98 percent cop killings of civilians is on black males. consequences are as i described the appearance of the rascism being gone and it's not. like saying pedophiles can live in your neighborhood althogh he's never been caught for the crime .it's still out there very dangerous. race wars.

I don't think it exsists the way that you are talking about. People go where they are comfortable. Most of us are comfortable around people we have things in common with, whether it be skin color, religion, education, etc. I live in small neighborhood where most of the residents are hispanic, I am not hispanic but I feel comfortable here because it is on the side of town I grew up on and know it like the back of my hand.

segrigation as you called it is economic and voluntary,
that is as your income / education level rises, you will have a tendency to move to a nicer area with less crime, better schools, and who can blame you for that? ther othe reason is that "minorities" tend to cluster, this is why you have little chinas, russia, little italies, mexicos and so one, if not for one reason, comfort amoung your own popluation. this in term can be seen as segregation. white flight is another thing that happens when those with money and education ( usally white back in the day ) will flee and area by moving to restablish themselves elsewhere as the influx of immigrants ( name your immigrant of choice ) makes them feel uncomfortable and uncertain of where such demographic changes will lead to.

they don't have to live in one section of town, but they seem to do it anyway. no one tells them they have to live wherever, they just do. I have black neighbors and have no problem with them. it just seems the majority of black people in this town live in one area.
