why do people ask questions on here that they could easily get the answers to by doing a simple google search

I totally agree with you - I think they do it for points and to see what other opinions are. My biggest pet peeve are for all the teenagers who ask the same question over and over again in singles & dating "does he like me or how do I know if he likes me" *rolls eyes* GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Some people are lonely, maybe they want a response, any response.
I would never point out, that someones question is stupid.
We all have a choice, if you think the question is stupid, go on to another, and leave the one that annoys you, to those who want to answer.
The reason people don't do a google search is, it will give you a straight answer, but not nearly as much fun.
I have noticed that some questions have no reason to be asked, other than the fun replies they get. Can't we loosen up, there's room for all on here.

Cos they want to see if anyone is feeling helpful.
I often ask questions i know the answer to see if anyone else does, or as per my last question it was an opinion, cant look that up on Yahoo.
PS you dont get points by asking questions but lose 5 each time

believe it or not, NOT EVERYONE KNOWS about Google. That's why they get on here and ask questions so people can lead them to an answer or a website that would give them the answer.

Because they give me something to do - every answer can be found by doing some form of research and then I would have to do some work if I had no questions to answer.
