Strongest in terms of muscle and brute strength? Maria. Strongest in terms of actual talent? Justine. Maria is not the strongest anything in women's tennis. Serena has more power and muscle. Justine, Serena, Amelie and Kim Clijsters all have more talent.

Tough question. I think Sharapova has more power than Justine only because she has such a height advantage on her. Sharapova probably has a stronger serve as well, though Justine's is more consistent. Although I'm not a big fan of Justine as a person, I do give her game credit since she is so small and can produce some amazing shots, especially her backhand, which is easily one of the best one handed backhands on tour, and probably better than Sharapova's. The correct answer in the end then is pretty obvious.. Serena Willams :)

Serena Williams can beat Sharapova and Henin at an arms wrestling contest, simultaneously: Sharapova with the right hand, and Henin with the left.

Its hard to say who is the strongest.. just because maria is alot taller does not mean she is stronger then justine... justine is only 55 3/4 but her muscles are very elastic which allow her to hit just has hard as everyone else... her backhand is clearly the best, and her forehand is alot bigger then it use to be.. I would say justine is stronger then sharpova because she can do more with her game.. but truly i would say the strongest womens player when totally healthy and in tennis is serena willams

Justine henin and here is why. Her game is more perfected. If you look at their games, Maria's game has a higher percentage of breaking doen in the match. (look at her 1st round of this years Australian open against camille Pen) As well as Justine leads 5-2 in career matches

Neither of them is actually 'strong'.....Justine being a timid 5'6'' and Maria weighing a hapless 59 kilos. However, if you are asking who is 'better' player, then it's undoubtedly Justine. Justine wasn't as successful as Maria at 18 or 19 years, but she has improved tremendously since 2003.

you can not compare Justine talent in tennis to Sharapova hard hitting to win the point or to grunt.
Justine is a short player & has to make up for it with her great talent in the back & forehand. She is a complete player !
The records also proof my point. More matches Justine won against Sharapova.
Sharapova hate to face Justine, Serena & few other players.
