nash will win it again this year. about 2 weeks ago, it really looked like it was going to go to dirk because he's having a great year and nash missed some games due to injury. but after their respective teams went head-to-head last week, i'd have to say that it'd be 3 straight MVPs for nash.
nash hit the game tying 3 pointer and dirk missed the game winning jumper. dirk missed crucial freethrows down the stretch. nash made his. dallas may have the better team standing but that game when nash delivered while dirk choked, i guess it wouldn't go unnoticed or forgotten when the MVP balloting goes underway.
a lot of people say it's going to be dirk because he's having his best season ever with all his stats and team record. but they need to analyze nash's stats, that he's having the greatest season of his career "stat-wise". not to mention that the suns also have a great record. but think about this: nash won back-to-back MVPs the last two years and he's having his best season when it comes to stats, not mentioning he outshined dirk in their head to head match up (in dallas' homecourt). it was even told in the news that dirk didn't get any sleep after that loss to the suns.
they'll meet again on sunday april 1 at phoenix. one more time before the season's over. if nash rises up to the occasion, the mvp is his. if dirk shines, then it's going to be a close call.
by the way, i'm not a fan of nash. i'm a kidd fan. just trying to be realistic and reasonable.

Kobe Bryant Is the true MVP of this League, he's basically carrying the Lakers to the Playoffs on his own, without having a legitamate deep roster to work with, I seriously don't consider Nash or Dirk MVP's their great players but look at how deep their teams and rosters are no wonder their teams have such good records when you have people on your team that can help it always makes the star player on the team look even better than he is and I'm sure if either of these guys were out their team's record wouldn't suffer too much, not to mention both guys have at least 1-2 All stars on their teams already that can step up if their out, Who does Kobe have (Lamar Odom???)don't get me wrong he's a good player but he's just not good enough to make this lakers squad into an NBA Finals contender Kobe Is great but he can't continually do it by himself even Michael Jordan Needed help (Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman) but I'd say right now considering the Lakers record and what Kobe bryant has done with (his teammates) I would consider him more of an MVP than anyone else Kobe is the best player in the NBA Today, all kobe haters don't have to like Kobe personally as a person but you have to respect his game and how good he is on the court period!

Dirk Nowitzki should be MVP but the question is will the voters think so as well? Sometimes I really don't understand how these voters think. Nash is an awesome player, arguably the best PG in the game now, but last year, I'm not too sure that MVP was his. I could have sworn Dirk had a better year also but I don't do the voting. As far as this year goes, i'm hoping the panel gets it right and gives it to Dirk because he clearly deserves it.

on an identical time as I agree LeBron must be MVP, i don't know how somebody can placed Kobe Bryant in basic terms before Durant for THIS year's MVP race. Durant is having a remarkable season and is maximum excellent a youthful green Thunder group to the playoffs. Kobe on the different hand has a terrific group with Gasol, Odom, Bynum, and etc. Durant shoots a greater effectual field objective share and takes 2 photos below Kobe yet averages greater factors. he's shoots a greater effectual 3 element share and a greater effectual unfastened throw share. He additionally averages greater rebounds and is not injured as often. If i'm not unsuitable he's performed just about the full if not the full season. on an identical time as Kobe has ignored a number of video games and inspite of him lacking a number of video games his group continues to be very good. Take Durant off the thunder and see how good they are.

Kobe can have a slim chance if the lakers make it deep into the playoffs but most likely wont get it or ever will no matter what because he's Kobe. So it will either go to Dirk or nash again. I say Dirk.

Dirk Nowitzki will win it this year cause of 2 reasons-he ownes the best record in the leauge and because he can handle the ball like a PG can shoot like a SG can rebound like a PF or C and becasue he is their go to guy. Now i know most of you are laughing becasue he had 3 oppurtunites to win the mavs-suns game but what you may not realize is that he has been their go to guy all year round. He beat the suns by hitting a buzzer beater the 2nd time they played. Well i think that the last mavs-suns game was not the true test April 1st mavs-suns at suns will be the true test.

The MVP this season is the best player on the league's best team. That is Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki. He's putting up 25 points a night and grabbing 9 boards while shooting 50% from the field, 90% from the line, and 42% from downtown. He can score from the post, penetrating to the lane, and with his deadly jumper. He is the clear cut MVP in my eyes as he is not only having a career year, but one of the best years in NBA history. Every tall European with a halfway decent jumper is compared to Nowitzki, but he's in a class of his own. He's a 7-footer who can rebound like a center/power forward, handle the ball like a point guard, and shoot the J like a shooting guard/small forward. He was robbed of the MVP last year, this year the writers should get it right.

it's a race of two. dirk nowitzki and steve nash.
at the end of the regular season, sportswriters will vote for their choice of mvp. and if history is to go by, the one that gets voted is the person in the team who tops the league standings going to the playoffs.
so if the standings today remain till the end of the season, my money is with dirk.
i agree on you on kobe's account. he is indeed playing amazing ball by scoring a lot recently. but scoring titles don't bring you championship rings... if one player is playing awesome and his teammates are reduced to spectators, then he has a weak case for mvp...
nowitzki and nash have good all around games... and they also make their teammates play and look better...

D-Wade??????? No way (injuries)
Nash - if it wasnt for Marion, Diaw, Bell, Barbosa being such dynamic scorers then Nash wouldn't be anything but a good PG (not a great one).
Therefore its Dirk or Kobe.........I say Kobe b/c he took this team to the playoffs last year and will again this year by himself with NO help what so ever!!!!
