when i was in high school i was clinically depressed.. i was receiving meds., seeing a doctor, etc. i used to burn and cut myself and i was anorexic and although i do not think i could ever commit suicide at that time i would play it out in my head.. so its been a few years and everything seems to be crashing down again.. i'm doing so bad in school (not even sure if i want to continue with my major, only doing it to make the parents happy), i hate my job, i havn't hung out with my two best friends in forever, and i've been just trying to pick fights with my boyfriend and im complettly not sexually arroused. every little thing annoys me, and im begining to binge again, which up until a few months ago i was fine with my body, but once again i have that im the ugliest person on earth feeling, i cry and i dont know why.. i just am going insane basically .. i dont know what i need or what i should do to fix anything .. please help

Get professional help! Especially if you've had a history of such problems. If you're not comfortable going to a stranger and basically "turning yourself in," talk to your parents or someone else who cares about you, and they can get help for you.

go see a doctor. Remember the meds were not the main thing that helped you out of that last hole. It is more about how you retrain your thinking back to a positive state. Stay positive, focus on the good things, that you have parents, that you are able to go to college, that you have a boyfriend...etc. If your friends are good friends call them and talk to them, they will be glad to hear from you...the hardest part is fighting that feeling of incapability and anxiety, but you have to if you want to avoid crashing...remember not to focus on the irrational thoughts. I'm sure you are a good person with a lot to offer, so you have no reason to crash.....

There's something going on with you that requires professional intervention, and that's nothing to be ashamed or feel bad about. Things can occur in our minds and bodies that require help to deal with. If you were doing well before with your meds, maybe you should see your doctor and go back on them. Sometimes chemical upsets in the brain can cause depression, sometimes hormones can... any number of things could be making you feel this way. You'll never get the answers unless you see your doctor, and rule out what it isn't, so you can get to what it is. Don't put it off. Every day, every week you suffer is a part of your life lost that you can't get back. Please don't delay.

You need to see a professional fast. You could start with the school counselor or even just your parents. If there's chaos in your life I'm sure they will want to know about it and do everything they can to help you. Remember, we all feel down and lonely at times but if you don't let anyone help, it'll never get better. Good luck :)

I know the out of control feeling. It's a horrible monster. I just describe the whole think with cutting and anorexia and stress, and school like a shadow. It's always in the back of your head. It looms in the shadows of your mind and you never stop thinking about it. It is dismissed from your main focus but it is still there. It is hard for me to ever stop thinking about my battles with that stuff. Email me and we can talk.

PLEASE stop this way of thinking! I'm alittle like you but I keep it in check....I stay busy so it doesn't consume me & take over. I too avoid my friends--feel like I'm worthless & not up to their level. etc., AND all the other things you've mentioned (except I don't cut).

Did you ever find a pill that helped? ie., antidepressant?

Don't go thru this alone! Things really aren't that bad--you've just slipped a little & need help!

I know it's been said again & again, but seek professional help to get over this bad time!
