The money and all my cards are still in it. I can't believe it , but isn't nice to know there are still some decent people out there.

Thanks to who ever gave it to the bus man

Glad you found it .

I found one on a bus once and handed it in, also found one on a street and took it the the house on the ID.

I also left a very expensive camera in a shop on holiday once, I rang the day after and one of the cafe waitresses handed it in - I was very relieved.

Drove back the next day - 3 hour trip, and left a big box of chocolates for her.

It is nice when you come across a good deed.

Uh, hate to rain on your parade, but,

the person who turned in your purse is most likely never going to see this post,

this site is for questions, and this post violated the Guidelines (and might be removed) -- had you asked a question such as "this ever happened to you?" it would squeak by.

Thus endeth the rain.

That is a Very Good Thing, isn't it? And I do understand the impulse to tell everyone and share the joy and gratitude.

It's true that things like this happen all the time, but who ever hears about them (unless you were carrying thousands of dollars, then the local news would probably want to pick it up).

Most people, seeing a purse (I've seen dozens of cases where the people on the bus saw it in time, and got the person's attention -- even jumping off the bus to give it back, while the driver waits), do understand how bad it would be to lose it and all its contents, and so do the right thing.

Now, from now on, what will you do when you get up from your bus seat?

That's right, glance back, or do a "body check" to make sure you don't leave anything behind.

:-)

Yes you are a lucky lady.,Especially as it is all intact. Does go to prove that there are still nice honest people about.Wouldn't the world be lovely if everybody was like that.Everybody respecting one and other and respecting property, beliefs and so on. I am pleased for you.

desirable, i would be unable to write with my left hand in any respect! yet I do a number of issues with my left hand, curiously i'm left hand eye co-ordinated. Or desirable, whichever is the different of what desirable handers would desire to be! I open doorways, carry bags and do maximum stuff with my left hand.

That is so nice to see that there are still honest people out there, perhaps you could give them a reward as a thank you.

It's good to hear that. I had my bag stolen last year and it feels awful to know that some horrible person is going through your stuff. I'm glad there's good people and I'm glad you got your purse back!
