whether it is going back in time a few minutes before to erase a mistake we just made or years back, sometimes my only wish is that i could go back into the past. sometimes i want to go back to erase a bad moment of my life or sometimes i want to relive the past because of an awesome moment in my life. is ther anything more impossible than to be able to relive our past physically????????? does anyone else ever feel this way, in which the only thing we could ever want is to relive our past?? i know it is impossible to go back in time but i cant help it that in my mind i still tell god that i wish i could rewind. i just want to know if anyone else ever feels this way.

Everyone wants to change mistakes they've made in the past etc. but if you did go back and change them, life would probably be completely different. the whole point in mistakes is to learn from them not to go back and change them, its one of the qualities of being human.

Anyone who would consider asking God to allow you to go back in time believes that he/she cannot do it. Therefore if that is your belief, then it IS impossible for you. However if you believed you could, you would.
From another point of view, if you imagine the past in the present how you want it to have been, the mind, which does not know the difference between a past experience and a present experience, will bring to you results in the future which you would have attracted if the past HAD been the present. Also, the reverse applies. This is why negative imagination is to your detriment. Even though you had done everything right in the past to attract positive results in your future, if you stay in negative imagination long enough, and it would have to be much longer than the actual past experience, thank God, you could attract into your future negative results. Clear? If not, read it again when you have a quiet moment. Example? Ok. Suppose that your thinking about your health in the past was positive and you attracted good health. Now you turn on the idiot box and hear an announcer very passionately warning of a new and very dangerous flu epidemic drifting in from the middle east. If you believe what he said and start to get frightened of this flu and you call up your friends and family to warn them, first thing you know, you (if you keep it up long enough) get the disease. It might even have been a false alarm, no matter, you would have created it for yourself, and then your friends when they found out about you could also restart that cycle.
Your mind is a powerful gift. Use it to your best advantage.

Love, I do understand how you feel. I think we all make mistakes and wish we could make different choices. But here's the thing. If each and every one of us took the time to live right here, right now, in this very moment, we would not make so many mistakes.
Instead of wishing things were different and living either in a fantasy of the future or sadness of the past, we could live in this moment and enjoy every single second of it. Then we would find out how very rare and beautiful life is. It's as though we are all living from "out there", living from a place that only sees the 'grand picture' and misses all the small details.
And when you think about it. Isn't it the most tiny moments that we remember the most. That look on your sweethearts face when they bring you some daisy's they found . Or that special joy in a child's eyes when they present you with that very special picture they drew just for you. Or the first time your baby holds your face in their tiny little hands and says "I love you mommy or daddy" aren't they the most percious moments? And yet we live our lives missing all those moments. And remember they are missing those moments with you too. So remember, move forward and just BE HERE NOW!

I do feel the same at least. It's not only for the reason that I would love to erase some mistakes and take back some things that I have done. It's mostly because I realise I grew up so fast, and my teens seem to me like yesterday and I wish I was younger again to live all over again. But as this is impossible for the moment,I have to stop thinking of past all the time, otherwise I would drive myself mad.The best way to travel back in time is through music.I you can't go back with music then there is no other way :) Take care!

In theory, it is possible to go back in time. We would need to exceed the speed of light. Of course considering the different inertial frames we would experience if we did this, scientists don't actually know how we would perceive the travel through time. We may not be able to see anything at all. Even if it was possible to casually go back in time, why would you want to? We all make mistakes,it's part opf human nature. Who's to say if you could change something that just happened, or happened ten years ago things would turn out any better. It's likely that they would turn out very different. But mistakes, inevitably would be made, and who knows...they could be far worse than the one you were trying to correct! Live for today. That's the only truth we'll ever know.

Perhaps if we consider the Buddhist theory that time is an illusion we possibly could we might make the same mistake in previous lives so going back and correcting it may have some Karmic value to alter different types of mistakes .
I think you are mainly speaking of times you have hurt someone emotionally. But you may have been a tool in their Karma and that you were bought together for each to work out Karma , I bumped into my landlord yesterday completely by chance and we had a barney

Yes i'm with you. However I do agree woth the first answer as well..... your mistakes make you who you are and if you chose a different path then you would not be the same person you are today. Example - before I met my hubby I was 12 and my parents were considering moving to America. If they had went I'd never have met my hubby and had my 2 gorgeous kids.
I would like to relive my wedding day - that passed so quickly. I'd like to go back to when my Gran was alive and tell her exactly how much I love her.
I'd also like to go back to a time before I was born to see what it was like -

I understand what you mean completely. We all want to live a good life and where there's fault we want to sort it out because we know we only have one life and any small action we do stays with us forever. With science developing we can do so much more than we could but we can't go back in time, so it becomes something magical that we all want to do. No matter what happens we are normally in control over our actions and knowing we've done something we can't sort out is so annoying and scary. Often I find myself compltetly annoyed at myself and just wishing that I could have a second chance to set everything straight. Shame it doesn't work like that.

For this I'm going to transliterate Neitshce.
However bad it is, that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
If only I'd told Susan/Tracey/Bridget how much I loved her. If only I hadn't given up that job. Who knows, if I'd have gone out with Neelam. I might even be a Hindu by now. I might be rich, famous and get lots of sexy women screaming at my feet. I could be emperor of the world and feared by evil people around the world. Who knows I could be Evil and feared by good people around the world.
Alternatively I could be dead.
Always look forwards or you'll trip over what's in front of you.
The past exists so we remember not to repeat it.
My life is realy crap at the moment but it won't always be.
Dwelling on such things, Neitsche ended up having an incestuous relationship with his sister, going mad and being pushed around in a wheelchair by her until his death.

Yes I wish I could go back to the time when my parents were both living and although I tried my best I know there were times when I let them down and I would like to erase all those times.
