I know I am. I've never heard them live (just started listening to them about a year after they broke up) and this is my chance. I'm hoping for a live CD, too, or at least a bootleg. Opinions?

Rage Against the Machine is one of those bands that I want to like because I'm sympathetic to most (but not all) of their politics.
Unfortunately, I think they put their politics ahead of their art which puts them in a bit of a straitjacket. Take other "political" bands like the Clash, Stiff Little Fingers and even DOA ... they put the music first, the politics second and their art is something that has stood the test of time.
RATM are more interested in sermonizing (usually to the choir) than in trying anything artistically compelling. Maybe it's just me but I don't really hear anything from them that doesn't sound like pontificating rap metal.

Rage against the Machine reunion, the rage is gone and I feel this is just to make money tour. Zach screwed the other guys and now wants back in. He went off on the political deep end that the others did not want to follow.

I've seen them live a couple of times here in New Orleans. They put on an awesome, very energetic show. Hope there tour stops here again.
