i heard if they change "anything" even minor.....in your plan then your allowed out of your contract.......so....i got a cingular plan for my ex and signed a year contract. he gives me the money but still...he wants to go back to his old service and i really don't want to have our bills joined anymore. so since cingular got bought by at&t can i consider this a breach of contract and force them to let me out? i still want my phone though.

No way. Who owns the company does not affect your contract . Your contract with Cingular is basically a deal with them that they have to provide you the service and you have to pay. Changing the owner of the company does not constitute breach of contract, and the old contract is still valid.

I don't know but I've always found that the most effective way to find out is to act like you already know. By this I mean, just call the company and say that you want out because you didn't sign up for AT&T. If they tell you there is nothing you can do, wait for a supervisor. Then call corporate. :)
