Of course! If he doesn't make it-nobody else should.

Unless the Hall of Fame comittee is totally asleep, here is a guy who will make it on the first pass. He has had 5 100 point seasons (could be 6 this year), has never played for any other organization, been the heart and soul of the team, and won 2 stanley cups. Any reason he shouldn't be?

Absolutely, he is the face of the Nordiques/Avalanche franchise and without a doubt one of the best all-time players in the NHL. He's also been successful on the international stage.

Joe Sakic is too good to not be in the Hall-of-Fame. I never liked the Aves (or the Nordiques) but he was a classy player, even though he played for an un-classy organization.

Unless he's found to have been abusing little boys or steroids my guess is Joe is a lock for THOF.
He's been a consistant performer and has 2 cup wins. He's another guy most hockey fans no matter what team they cheer for like.

Two Cups to his credit and the stats to back it all up. He's a class act, too.
