I don't know how to explain properly but someone told me that the Brittish education was the best in the word and also the hardest. Is this true because I'm doing A levels and I may not be the smartest girl in the world but watching American movies and stuff I find what I'm doing "History of art" and "art" pretty easy compared to what they make it seem in movies.

It may be a stupid question but I'm curious.

Thanks so far its Japan obviously , I'll look into this in more detail because it so happens that the person that told me is infact Brittish so she is most probably biased. I do agree though that Japan seems to have a high standard of learning and the Brittish education to me seems really poor and in some cases unfair and silly.

Japan has the most intense and high level of education. They not only focus on academics, but they also put emphasis on physical education and the fine arts from a young age. They instill a very strong work ethic. The UK actually has one of the poorest examples of an education system. North America is far better.

I personally think that the hardest type of education system is in some parts of Europe (those who have a so called Gymnasium, a high school with a strong emphasis on academic learning) . Students there are taught mathematics, the native language, 3 foreign languages, history, geography, informatics (computers), the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics), history of art, music, philosophy, logic, physical education and the social sciences (sociology, ethics or religious education, psychology, politics and economy). Also death languages like Latin and ancient Greek.

America was rated 7th in world education. In the West I thought Norway had the best educational system with Britain a close second. And in Asia, South Korea is supposed to be a little better than Japan.

The American educational system declined with liberal social experiments like: forced busing, affirmative action, and minority quotas. Liberals have lowered educational requirements all over the USA so you no longer need a language to enter college, social history (civil rights movement, black oppression, etc.) is more important to learn than sceince, math, language, geography, or good English skills. Kids in American inner city high schools graduate without being able to read their own high school diplomas.

I would agree with Japan being the smartest and more discipline. As far as who is the "hardest" I am not sure considering I have not been in every school so I dont know the structure and how they do things. But overall the Japanese are always ahead in everything and so much of their technology is more advanced than many nations.

Obviously india. india s curriculum is unheard of. let the Japanese, Koreans or even the british take some classes in my country india. I have seen gcse , IB as well as A level books. they are so bloody easy. india is like 3 to 4 grades higher. even my principal said so. just remember that our country is going to rule the world in the future. for the people who can understand hindi " bharath hamara desh hai. jago grahak jago."

It's the British themselves that claim they have the best education system in the world....they also can't stop harping on about how they won the war either. British people like to cling on to things from the past because they have lost the lead in many areas. But to compliment them, they do have proficient and professional national security in place and you can't beat going to the pub for a nice pint of beer and plate of chips.
