He's backing Gonzale because if Gonzales decides to become a stool pigeon he might spill the beans as to WHY a gay porn hustler with a press pass was allowed into the hallowed halls of gay hating Republicans on countless occasions.
One of the Most intriguing mysteries of the Bush White House and one that they have kept completely squelched is:
"Who there had the GAY MARINE FETISH ?????"
- Gonzales certainly knows.

You bring up a very good point. One I hadn't thought of. Of course, Bush cannot run again (thank God), but his party needs the Latino vote. Republicans have made great strides in recruiting them. The Cuban population in Florida tends to be politically conservative and leans toward the GOP. Firing Gonzales(he will resign, of course, for some reason unrelated to the current scandal) could anger some Hispanic voters. The Republicans cannot afford this.

No Alberto (V05) Gonzales is obstructing justice with Judge Lams case over Duke Cunningham and his corruption that leads to Bush. Senator Feinstein has communications that are documented with Gonzo several times over Duke Cunningham's case, Cunningham is loosing right now. They fired the judge to change the outcome of the case. This is obstruction of justice. It's real funny of all people for the Cons to call out the race card when they know it is really a criminal matter here.

Bush isn't running for anything, he's not worried about the votes.
In addition, Gonzales did nothing wrong. Don't forget Clinton fired ALL of the federal prosecutors in 1993.
It is the Presidents discretion to do so, and he did.
Nuff said.

The only reason Gonzales was appointed was to garner votes from hispanics
That is also why this imbicile is supporting amnesty against the wishes of the people of America. (dems are no better in this issue)

The word is loyalty. The over riding quality in Bush's life is loyalty to his family, friends and country.
How many show that human character in today's life? I wish I had friends like that, don't you?

Stupid question. The only one who can answer that question is Bush himself. Any other answer would only be opinion or guessing.
