If he mentions it in passing, or it comes up in conversation, I'd think that he's disciplined and dedicated. If he just says on a first date "So I was an Eagle Scout..." I'd think he was trying to score points and would be turned off, because it would sound like he was bragging.

I'd think if he can't spell, he's probably not really an Eagle Scout.

I'm not a girl, but I hate when scouts smugly put their two fingers up in the air when they want people quiet. Annoying as hell.
