I am sure that Liberal Democrats would love that idea.

Democrats are the political party that supported Slavery, opposed civil rights and passed the RICO act, an anti-constitutional piece of legislation that allows for the issuance of a general warrant and the confiscation of private property just under the suspicion of "conspiracy".

One thing this little piece of legislation was used for, during the Clinton administration, to allow the seizure of trucks owned by independent non-union truckers when they were pulled over by police under "suspicion" of drug trafficking and they were found to have a couple of thousand dollars of cash on them.

Oh yeah, we can't talk about things like Democrats oppressing people because it isn't politically correct. All the propaganda tells us that the Republicans, who lobbied for civil rights legislation for over a hundred years, are a "culture of corruption".

Yeah, civil rights are corrupt.

Ach! Jawohl! Us Red-Staters believe in such Nazified concepts as:
1. Equal treatment under the law for all, regardless of gender or race.
2. Fiscal responsibility.
3. Lower taxes and less government intrusion into all aspects of life.
4. Individualism as opposed to communality
5. National security as opposed to international popularity.
6. Victory in Iraq instead of defeat.

Not like the Blue-Staters at all. Truly dangerous ideas, those.

We "could" have? Haven't been paying much attention have you? A significant portion of our population (read; the 28% that still approve of Bush's presidency) are already there.
