The exterior case looks rusty and filled with corrosion. I think the actual piece costs $800; but how much time does it take to replace?

It's easy if you do that sort of thing all the time, and have a lift like I do. If the outside is rusty don't worry, it is supposed to look like that, and that's how the replacement will look after it gets wet.

If you just have extra money that you have to dispose of before the divorce, bring it to my shop. I'll glass bead the part, an give it a fresh coat of paint. $800

i own a repair shop ,and it only takes a little while if its up in the air,if your having to lay down in under it,this could take a long time,and you,ll need the proper tools to do this with also,other than that its not a hard job,but its one of those that once you start it,you have to finish it,but it can be done if you have the right tools on hand to work with,good luck i hope this helps.
