Because people shouldn't be categorized because of race - it's something we all have no control over and everyone is different on an individual basis, generalizations are wrong and shows ignorance.

why do you think?
it depends on how you express the topic
of course, if it's in a racist or prejudiced manner
you're going to get some shite from it
otherwise, you're going to get some dirty looks
some people take the matter lighter than others
personally me, i'm always getting shite bout my races.
i'm mixed with 15 ethnicities
and i'm a briton
so here in america, especially here
people give the loads of bollock bout it
whether they are implying it in a normal conversation[which they are not, it's just their way of insulting me indirectly] or they say it straight to my face
it just really depends on how the person interpets it
but race doesn't matter
it shouldn't define a person
just as stereotypes [now i'm not trying to offend anyone, just stating things i've seen and heard]
you see a black person, most people assume that he's aggressive, has been to jail or has to like rap music or some sort
if you see a white person, most people assume they are stuck up, and only date their race, or shite like that
or a mexican, i mean the list goes on and on
people judge almost everything they see
they shouldn't
but they do
personally
i think they can go take that damned arieal out their arses and smile lmao
but unfortenately, what i think doesn't matter

I think you are projecting (and in a text book fashion). I mean, who was it who began by asking if there were any black and white couples together 50 years or more when that was illegal in many states 50 years ago?
Me personally, it's not something I think about. I am entertained somewhat by the obsessions of some people on Yahoo Answers though.
It's a regular freakshow forum for studying deviant behavior sometimes--smile. It's like going to a human zoo. I think the internet term for what you are doing here today is "race-baiting troll".
Have a nice day.

Race is a touchy subject because race has nothing to do with character and many people can not seem to accept this fact.

The country hasn't quite had enough time to heal since slavery and segregation (sp?). It's getting better but there will always be problems in our lifetime.
Oh, and I have seen bi-racial couples who have stayed together. The big thing I've seen though is, unfortunately, someone usually gets sick before 50 years. :(

Because racism is still there.
Not as bad as it was 30 years ago, but still there.
If you are a minority, married to a minority, adoptive of a minority, you still see the traces.
It still happens.
Stupid people still mouth the words of their stupid parents.

Because people keep reminding us that it is. Like this question for example.
