Before you start with your textbook answers PLEASE READ. My girlfriend is experiencing a painful discomfort on her labia during sex. She describes it as tiny paper cuts, or being rubbed with sandpaper. She has been to the doctor and they have ruled out STDs, bacterial infection, candida (yeast), vaginosis, parasites, and endometriosis. It acts like it is dry, cracked skin, but even with lubrication (both natural or synthetic) we have had to stop mid-coitus because of the pain. She is very health conscious and takes supplements (could she be taking something to cause the irritation?) Any insight would be helpful as the medical field is so far stumped.

I did notice a tiny (quarter inch) line of tissue that looked like healing cracked skin, but there is no redness or swelling to indicate anything else is wrong. Is it possible to clean the area TOO well and actually dry it out? She doesn't use any soap on the area, just rinses well with water (yes it is chlorinated city water.) The only odor she has is a slight vinegar scent at times, but it is certainly not constant (usually after acidic foods.)

We have discovered allergies to a few lubricant ingredients and a sensitivity to latex. That's not it either, but thanks for the input!

Try washing the area with hydrogen peroxide, and that will kill any bacteria on the surface. It sounds as if she may have a fungal infection, based on the vinegar smell. That can easily be treated with a prescription, but using plain yogurt and inserting a few teaspoons inside her vagina, will also do the trick within 24 hours
If that doesn't work contact a gynaecologist

I am suffering with the exact same problem for about 6 months! I have examined my labia and it looks like cracked skin around the opening, but even when I allow this to heal it just starts up again as soon as I have sex. I have tried everything, from lube to waiting for up to a month for it to heal, condoms, no condoms, you name it - I even made my boyfriend shave the base of his penis incase chafing hair was the problem!. I too have found some kind of scar tissue inside my vagina which looks like a small white triangle, and is painful to touch. I also find that the area between my vagina and anus becomes "grazed" and is also very painful to touch. The entire entrance to the vagina feels painful beyond description.
I have been to my doctor today and he asked me all those textbook questions about lube etc, and has asked me to come in to get checked out. He said that sometimes women have a little flap of skin which is not visible but can become caught during sex. I doubt this as I have been sexually active without problems for years, and two months into my new relationship, this occurs.
I am sorry for your pain but I am also glad that I am not alone in this! Good luck for getting this solved - for both our sakes!

it must be and ectopic being pregnant, i've got confidence is the type you spell it. however in case you have used beginning administration some thing like this could ensue the place a fertilized egg gets caught in the fallopian tube, not the uterus the place a fetus is meant to sort. See a gynecologist ASAP, it may additionally be endemetriosis or an ovarian cyst, yet lower back, the two bypass to the ER in case you have no scientific insurance or make an appt. ASAP. Or like the previous individual suggested you're able to do as they stated, there are fairly some issues it must be and don't in basic terms rapidly have confidence what your boyfriend tells you, i don't advise to be impolite in any respect yet you ought to rigidity approximately your physique. this could jeopardize your potential to have little ones so get checked!

I have a very close friend who has a condition called vulvodynia. The symptoms you're describing are identical to hers. When she became sexually active at 17, it became unbearable. She went to a whole slew of different doctors, and it took years before she got a diagnosis.

and the only lubricant she can use comfortably is one called Pre~Seed. It's very expensive, but makes intercourse comfortable for her. She's now married and has had a little one. It can be managed, but there's no cure. If this is what your gf has, I sympathize.

Make sure she isn't having allergic reactions to any of the lubricants (natural or artificial). If you're using a condom, make sure she isn't allergic to latex, that is a pretty common thing for some women to react with the latex.

Is it worst when you have intercourse at certain angles? and could she be allergic to sperm? it sounds extrememly painful but you defintly need to get professional help a second opinion i mean, even a surgeon if u think it may be a past injury that has never healed.. if it is scar tissue it may need to be removed,

Have you tried looking at it? Do you see anything? When touching it is the skin soft and smooth or does it have small
bumps? Maybe instead of going to a gynecologist try going with your go to a skin specialist, sometimes they know better.
