How can I tell if my Chanel Bag is real. I know some really good knock offs come with authenticity cards. I was given as a gift. I don't really care, just curious.

1-Print & Design: if the bag has a a specific design (like the trademark quilting) the print or design on the fake bag wouldn't be very accurate
2-Materials: the materials on real bags are of high quality (kid skin super supple leather, fabric.. etc)
3-The inside: the lining of the bag and the tag (it would be very clear when the bag isn't real)
4-Finishings: seaming, zippers should be perfect on a real bag (sometimes the name or logo of the brand would be ingraved on the zipper or a piece of metal..)
5-Color: some bags can be identified by the color of the leather.. & sometimes the original bags come in specific colors any other color wouldn't be real!! (for example: LV's colored monogram comes in black & white.. it'd be wierd if u see it in a yellow!! unless the company released that color.. but u have 2 be uptodate with the designs & all through their website)

chances are its fake if it was a gift from someone well.. not rich lets just say. but it is like a mere $1500 for a chanel. my mom does have money in the bags but she cant afford me one. but hey you can always tell people its real and if it looks the same i guess it doesnt matter?!?!?
