Several of my friends and I (all 17 and 18) are going to chicago tomorrow (tuesday the 26th) and we want to go to a decent place to eat and some comedy show or something. Does anyone know of any special shows that are going on, or some nice non-reservation resturants? That would be awesome! Thanks! :D

You need to eat at Original Gino's downtown Chicago. Best Pizza hands down.

You may be able to check out the legendary "Second City". It is well known through out the country. The theatre that launched the careers of such comic greats as John Belushi, Mike Myers, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, and more. Not sure about age of admission, here's the website to contact them to find out.

I've never been but Chicago Comedy Company should be worth checking out.

Chicago has lot to offer in the way of arts and theater. You can find just about anything you want.

If you guys are going to be out and about during the day, may want to check out the Sears Tower. Tallest building in the US, go to the skydeck to look out. Not something you'd do on a regular basis but if you've never been to Chicago, it's nice to check out and say you've been. The view is spectacular.

Chicago has comedy going on every single night of the week. Your best bet is to check out Time Out Chicago (http://www.timeout.com/chicago/ViewSection.do?sectionId=comedy). Both the website and the magazine list all of the comedy stuff going on each night of the week. Most of them are pretty cheap to get into early in the week, about $5-8. There's standup, sketch comedy, improv. The only problem may be that some of the places are located in places that serve alcohol and you have to be 21 to enter. Have your fake IDs ready.

As far as where to each cheaply, there are too many to name. I guess it depends on what kind of food you like. Again, check the Time Out Chicago website under Restaurants.

Try Lincoln Park area. Matter of fact, try Lincoln street. They have comedy and Food. Second City (the #1 recruiter for SNL) is in Old Towne, which is always funny. This is near Lincoln Park and if you're following Lincoln Ave south, you will run right into it. There's great Mexican, Itallian and BBQ places near that area. Beyond that pick up a local publication called the reader. They have all the info you need on what you're looking for.
