How do you think that scenerio would be blamed on Bush?

The Brits wouldn't attack Iran on their own. The attack would be a joint venture with the US. Thus, Bush would be responsible.

As a Briton, I'm amused at the idea that we've sold our collective soul to socialism - I can't think of anyone less likely to raise the Red Flag over Westminster than our current Prime Minister. But I'll let that particular bit of political analysis pass.

There is no will here to engage in war with Iran. More than two thirds of Britons oppose the war in Iraq, and there is no will to engage in another pointless and destructive Middle Eastern campaign. If Blair (who will not last another six months in his job, largely because of his support for Iraq) attempted to propose any such action, there would be uproar, not least from within his own party.

I overheard Sean Penn talking to Barbara Streisand and he said Dick Cheney had the Saudi's pay the Iranians to take the 15 Brits. Honest Injun!

All it takes is anything to make Bush look bad and they will use it.

This is beyond hypothetical. It will never happen. The Brits seem to have fallen over the edge when it comes to national character and have sold themselves to socialism.

It just isn't going to happen. They MIGHT follow, but they will never take the lead on such an issue.

Yes, because they have already been worrying about a 'false flag' operation in Iran and now they have it. They will say the Bush (the dumb monkey he is) using his vast evil genius machinations, set the Brits up in order to get them to attack Iran.

Britain won't attack Iran because it can't. Britain is a big dog with no teeth. Blair would have come up with stronger language if this wasn't the case.

It has nothing to do with him. Iran kidnapped British soldiers. The Brits have every right to attack.

The U.S., on the other hand...
