I have been considering buying precious metals as an investment. I see dealers offering silver bars from The Wall Street Mint but I can't find much information about it.

To tell you the truth, they may no longer be in business. There have been a bunch of companies that issued silver bars in the past. This may be one of them. I remember back in the 80's silver bars of various sizes from 1 oz to 100 oz were very popular and there were litterly hundreds of companies turning them out like mad. Other companies that I recall selling silver bars were Danbury Mint and even the bullion dealers such as Engelhard and Johnson Matthey.

On the internet there are any number of places you can buy silver bars of all types and describions. The logo on the bar is of little consequence.

It is probably a private company that sells coins & bullion. I have never heard of them, but that does not mean they arent legit. They most likely dont have anything to do with the Wall Street that you are thinking has to do with the stock market.
