Would you consider breeding a job or a hobby?

I think it could be either, depending on many factors.

If It is a major, or your sole source of income, you devote hundreds if not thousands of hours yearly to doing the necessary work involved, are serious about breeding for the betterment of the breed and not doing it just because you have a couple of dogs who are intact, and know your breed and dogs inside and out, including all genetic diseases, then I’d consider it a job.

Otherwise, it’s a hobby, and probably shouldn’t be done at all. Hobby breeders who have limited knowledge and resources are generally where poor quality or unhealthy pups come from.

It depends. Some would say it's a job. I would say that it would be a hobby because it is neat to have new pets and take care of them from when they are born!!

This question is about definitions.
A JOB is something you get paid to do, and a HOBBY is something that is done for your own satisfaction with no re- numeration.
