Every time it happens, lock your screen...Ctrl+Alt+Del...then get up and get some water or something...eventually, they'll get the point.

you can pick up a privacy sheild from the local Office supply store. However if the person is making you uncomfortable I would suggest confronting the person to make them back off. Just look at them and ask them " is something they needed? "and then say "I am really busy so if you will excuse me." Then wait till they leave before resuming work or what ever you are doing if they do not then go to your boss and let them know of the issue.

Ask your coworker, very nicely "Is there something I can help you with?" When you get a negative reply comment "I thought there must be since you are always staring at my computer screen."

After that whenever you see your coworker staring at your computer screen ask them "Did you need help?"

Rosy, there should be no need for you to go and spend money on anything or talk to anyone other than the person who is making you uncomfortable.Don't mean to be crude, but "fight fire with fire",nicely talk to the person and basicly say that what she is doing is bothering you could she please stop.NICELY!, if that does not work then it is time for you to start looking at her computer screen.

Can you just position your screen out of her sight some way?

You can also buy those privacy screens that block anyone from seeing your screen at an angle.

just ask her what's the matter and tell her about how you feel. it's not rude. people are conscious of the surrounding. it's in our senses. sometimes stuff happens and it's uncomfortable. let alone staring and like always. it's like your personal space been violated. it's not like she likes it when someone stare at her while she works.

you can get one of those privacy screens for your computer.
And tell her is to reduce the glare from the computer monitor and that your optometrist recommended it.
or you can start looking at her screen, and eventually she'll realize that it is rude, and she'll stop doing it.

I know you don't want to be rude........but sometimes that's what it takes. If you have politley let them know it is really annoying, and they are aware of it.......it's time to be rude.

You could bring it up with your boss and ask about getting a privacy filter:
