Why do they need lights? Can't they get the evidence they need through illegal spying and republican neighbors to arrest you quietly? I'm excited - there'll be all kinds of new houses for sale when they take liberals to GITMO. Soylent Green - it's made from democrats!!!

I really don't understand the logic behind your phraseology. What is a jack booted red stater? is that some sort of off the wall insult you recently dreamed up in whatever part of your brain is left after the last time you blew your nose? What would make a blue light on the roof of a Police vehicle un-American? The blue light has nothing to do with Democrats or liberalism as you are obviously and ineptly trying, and failing to imply.
Perhaps this is a matter you should address with the respective governments of those states and get back to us when you have results.

I can't tell you the number, but when you think about it, almost every state in the US when you combine the police and fire department they all either have red and/or blue lights. I know that in PA, police use the combination of Red and Blue, while fire departments use red, except for the volunteer departments which use blue. There is no national requirement, because it would be cost prohibitive. The US government isn't going to pay for each state to change to a uniform color, ie blue police, red fire department or vise versa, and nor is the states.

I dont know why you would make such a statement, but I can tell you that police departments starting using BLUE lights many years ago because too many other type emergency vehciles were using RED lights the same as police cars...BLUE lights distinguish a police car from other emergency type vehicles...Police vehicles are the only emergency vehicle that use blue ones...If another type use the blue lights they are doing so without aurthorization.

The blue light on a vehicle is exclusively the use of the police force in the US. There is no need to change tradition.
