So do you just keep slurring from one note to another? So if your trilling in third position, you'd trill from E flat to A flat? Is that what you mean? What do you mean about the tongue thing? I'm confused!

I saw someone trill once and they did not move the slide at all when they trilled. It seemed like it was all done with their embouchure. I don't know...

A lip trill is created by rapidly moving up and down between partials like between D and F or F and Bb (in 1st position). The best lip trill is created strictly from embouchure control and excellent breath support. One would be accomplish this by increasing lip slur flexibility with these exercises.

If you want to try doing this sooner, there are a couple ways to do it. First you can exaggerate what you do with jaw. Use a rapid up and down jaw movement. Second you could do a shake. You can physically push the mouthpiece and instrument into and away from your lips rapidly using a good breath support and steady embouchure.

like any brass instrument, it's rapid slurring.. just wiggle your tounge in and out as you play the note.
