That people supporting the war in Iraq on Yahoo! Answers are "Armchair Warriors" and such?

Did it never occur to some that many have been to Iraq, done their time and gotten out, and they want to ask questions here on Yahoo! Answers?

Or do some people just think that anyone who's been in the Iraq war is against it?

If you're not against the war in Iraq, and you decide to move on with your life, does that really make you a "coward" or a "hypocrite"? Doesn't that make those who choose not to join the military "cowards" as well?

I never asked about politicians...I asked about Yahoo! Answers posters.

Thanks for reading the question and answering with logic, not emotions .

Good for you sir (or Madam)!

You shouldn't pay much attention to many of the comments in here about the war.

Fact is, you know more about it than most of the rest of us "yahoos".

You are not a hypocrite and you sound pretty clear as to where you stand on issues.

Advice...NEVER seek approval from others. Follow your own judgments and have the itegrity to voice the truth of your convictions.

Just as your question states, you are doing the same thing...assuming. It is not possible to check and/or verify all information on every issue from all that are involved, so, instead we "assume" and take what we think might be the truth, and make it a hard fact that it is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. For every issue there are people that are for it and people that are against it. Not all people that were there are either for it or against it. Same holds true for those who were never there, as well as those that were never in the military. The first step in getting an intelligent answer would be to stop assuming yourself.

Less than 1% of America is in the Armed Forces.

Bottom line is 99% are not. They do not support the Armed Forces they do not fight wars they do not care.

I think we should have at least 33% mandatory Military Service.

Those who fouhgt should be revered that they would sacrifice thier life and the future for thier country everyone is entitled to thier opinion , I do not agree with the war in Iraq but it is better to be fighting over there than right here in our own backyard and those who go to fight deserve a pat and the back and a whole lot more for thier courage and sacrifice than to be ridiculed , and condemned.

It sounds a lot like the reverse assumption that many have about those who are vocally against the war. And that is: *If you're against the war you're against the troops.* And *The only way to "Support Our Troops" is to support the war.*

It's flawed logic.

both democrats and republicans spend too much time pointing the finger instead of looking in the mirror.

P.S. If you are going to try and be taken serious .. seeing as how this is a good question.. you may want to change your name.

Spewing hate at other Americans because of their beliefs is ignorant regardless of whether you are for the war or against it.
